Artist Statement

Entrapped depicts a scene inspired by Gregor's Room in Metamorphosis. Gregor is represented by a brown, beetle-like figure on the bed. He is placed on the bed because he is trapped there in the story. Red and a golden yellow are used throughout the piece to represent wealth. The pieces appear delicate and old to give a victorian feel.
